Women In Yellow Durags

Images of black people, particularly black men, wearing durags have been part of our cultural consciousness for some time. Durags are hotter than ever thanks to 18-24 year-olds and women. Like everything we make cool traditionally, mainstream society predictably labels the du-rag as something criminal and crude until they figure out how to make it commercial and profitable. In art, music, and fashion, dorags are being embraced as more then a street fade, and a tribute to a black tradition that should no longer be ridiculed but revered.
